Hackers Steal California State Employees Social Security Numbers?

Yahoo News / Associated Press - May 24, 2002

Hackers Break Into California Computers

Does it make you feel better to know that not even California Governor Gray Davis is immune from possible identity theft? Gray Davis and his staff. It's not clear if the hackers took anything or have used the information to commit identity theft. The servers have since been patched to keep this from happening again.
