Identity Theft Scam Targets Retail Shoppers

New Identity Scam Preys On Shoppers And Unwitting Sales Clerks

Here's a completely new scam that happens while you're shopping. The con artist calls the clerk from a cell phone while you're checking out, claiming to be store security. He gives the clerk a physical description and asks them to read off the information from the transaction (credit card number, bank number, etc.).
